PROJECT MEMBERS
Miroslav Pavlović (1983) is Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of History. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, Department of History (2007) where he also earned his MA (2009) and PhD (2016). Since 2008 he has been employed at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, where he teaches modern and contemporary history. He is a member of Matica Srpska and a member of the scientific board of the Department of Social Sciences of Matica Srpska (2020–). He is a member of the executive board of the Center for Historical Research of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad (2015–) and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Historical Research (2020–). He was a visiting scholar and lecturer in Germany and Italy, and a participant in several national and international projects (Hungary, USA). His research areas include the history of the Ottoman Balkans in the 18th century, social and cultural history of the Ottoman Empire, the status of non-Muslims in the Ottoman Empire, and theory of history. He published 10 reviews and critiques and 15–20 papers in different journals. He participated at various scientific conferences both in Serbia and abroad. He received the Ilarion Ruvarac Prize awarded by Matica Srpska for his book Smederevski sandžak 1739–1788: Vojno-administrativno uređenje, Novi Sad 2017.
