PROJECT MEMBERS
Srđan Pirivatrić (1966) is Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Byzantine Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He obtained his PhD from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy. His research interests include different topics in Byzantine, Serbian and Bulgarian history from the 9th to the 14th centuries on which he has published a number of scholarly articles. He is author of the monograph The State of Samuilo (1997), editor of a collective History of Bulgaria (2008), co-editor of the collective monograph The Kingdom and the Archbishopric (2019), Holy King Milutin (2022) and Byzantine Heritage in South-Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages I (2022). He received fellowships and grants from the Tokyo Fund, the Greek State Fellowships Foundation (IKY), the Onassis Foundation and the Austrian Academy. He was co-president of the Organizing committee of the 23rd International Congress of Byzantine Studies held in Belgrade in 2016. He also serves as President of the Serbian National Committee of Byzantine Studies.
